Collection consists of correspondence from staff or board members at Bettis Academy, Laing High School and Schofield Normal School expressing thanks for monies donated by the Friends Meeting of Washington, D.C. on an annual basis.The bulk of the letters are from Bettis Academy and contain significant details on school operations and conditions. Also included is a Christmas greeting entitling Bettis Academy to three hundred and sixty five days of happiness, prosperity and peace for the year 1946. Correspondents include A.W. Nicholson, Richard F. Bouleware, Sanford P. Bradby, J. MIchael Graves, Janet M. Brown and Bessie H. Preston.
